Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Chartered MCIPD and significant post qualification experience
- Significant experience of leading and managing professional HR and recruitment staff
- Ability to motivate teams to deliver against challenging deadlines with conflicting priorities.
- Ability to translate strategy into action and shape HR services to support organisational needs
- Thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and best HR practice
(with a particular focus on recruitment and resourcing) - Experience of running complex and largescale recruitment campaigns
- Experience in leading, managing and delivering complex HR projects/initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex issues
succinctly in writing, and communicate contentious and sensitive issues to a range of audiences - Well-developed negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain effective, positive
working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Desirable Criteria
- Chartered FCIPD
- Experience of working in the Police Service or a large public sector organisation
